CADable Digital Dental Training
Based in Melbourne, Victoria, CADable helps dental clinics and laboratories adopt digital workflows with confidence. We provide customized onsite and online training that is tailored to your equipment, your team’s experience and your business goals.
Initial Evaluation
We perform an evaluation of your existing scanners, CAD software, mills or 3D printers and your current workflow. This consultation allows us to identify where training will add value and ensures we design a course that meets your needs.
Who We Train
Dentists & Clinics (chairside or in‑practice): Ideal for dentists and teams who want to integrate intra‑oral scanners, CAD software and 3D printing or milling into day‑to‑day practice. We help you adopt digital workflows, optimise scanning and streamline chairside fabrication.
Dental Laboratories: Focused on technicians who require precise design and manufacturing skills. Our sessions cover advanced CAD software (3Shape, exocad), digital dentures, implant workflows, 3D printing and milling.
Training Options
Remote Session (Half‑Day): A four‑hour live online session, tailored to your hardware and workflow. Perfect for up to four participants.
On‑Site Training: Full‑day, hands‑on training at your clinic or lab where we calibrate and refine your equipment and workflows. Clinic sessions are capped at four participants; lab sessions at eight.
Start‑Up Digital Training: A three‑hour programme teaching you how to design models and splints using free CAD software—ideal for new digital clinics and labs looking to get started with minimal investment.
Ongoing Support: Remote mentoring and workflow audits to keep your team up to date and ensure continuous improvement.
Course Modules
Digital dentistry fundamentals: Installation, scanning and digital workflows for beginners.
Intra‑oral and laboratory scanning: Protocols and techniques for accurate scans, including hygiene and maintenance.
CAD design workflows: Designing models, crowns and bridges, splints, trays and chrome dentures; training on free CAD programmes for models and splints to keep start‑up costs low.
3D printing & milling: Selecting hardware, exporting STL files, printing models and guides, milling crowns and bridges, and finishing techniques.
Digital dentures: Designing and fabricating full or partial dentures.
Implant planning & surgical guides: Aligning CBCT scans, designing custom abutments and bars, and producing surgical guides.
Workflow integration & team training: Integrating digital workflows into your lab or clinic, communication between clinicians and technicians, record‑keeping and quality assurance.
Care & maintenance: Step‑by‑step cleaning and maintenance routines for scanners, printers and milling units to prevent errors; daily care tasks and advanced maintenance to keep your equipment performing at its best.
Supporting Digital Start‑Ups
We specialise in helping new digital clinics and labs take their first steps into CAD/CAM. Our programmes focus on simple workflows and free or low‑cost software for model and splint design so you can offer digital services without large up‑front expenses. We provide hands‑on guidance on installing and using these tools and recommend affordable hardware and consumables suited to new businesses.
Meeting Industry Demand
Many practices and labs receive sophisticated digital equipment with little or no training from suppliers. CADable bridges this gap by calibrating and fine‑tuning your scanners, printers and mills and by providing in‑depth instruction and support so you remain at the forefront of digital dentistry. We introduced these training services after a surge of enquiries from clinics and labs seeking reliable, hands‑on guidance to maximise the value of their hardware and software.
Our Trainers
CADable sessions are facilitated by Dieter Laudenberg and Luca Ciceri. Dieter is a dental technician and lecturer with many years of hands‑on laboratory experience. He specialises in CAD/CAM technology, 3D printing and digital workflows and is known for his ability to translate complex processes into clear, practical steps for both technicians and clinicians. Luca serves as a director of CADable and has a background in dental technology and digital design. He has trained and worked in Australia and Italy and brings both business insight and practical CAD/CAM experience to every training session.
